Help Not Harm for those with Mental Illness |
On April 20, 2026, Cardinal Leo wrote to Prime Minister Carney and all federal Members of Parliament (MPs) in the Archdiocese of Toronto asking for their support of Bill C-218 and decrying the rapid expansion of euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada. The letters from His Eminence are closely aligned with the Help Not Harm campaign currently underway in the archdiocese and throughout Canada. Catholics are asked to contact their Member of Parliament by clicking here and asking them to support Bill C-218. The entire process takes less than three minutes. A vote on the legislation is expected by late May or early June 2026. |

A Prayer for Families |
Good and gracious God,
In you we place our trust, mindful of your constant presence and loving care. Through your goodness we have received life and the joy of living in relationship with one another.
Guide our families during all stages of life to seek your strength and comfort. As we navigate the daily tasks of family life, may we call on your Spirit to lead and inspire us. Knowing the constant love you have for us, may we offer praise and thanks to you.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen. |
