Dear Parishioners,
Here is our financial report for the past year of 2024. Thank you for your financial support and gifts of time and talent.
With all your combined efforts and generosity, unfortunately, we have a financial statement with a small loss for 2024 compared to 2023.
Still, this has been a year of many accomplishments. We have hired a youth minister Kim Carson. We have begun the Edge youth group for grades 6-8. Our young adults love to come together in our Parish Hall. We want to support our youth since they are the present and future of our Parish. We now have Air Conditioning in both the Church and the Parish Hall. The AC has increased the air quality and comfort for our parishioners during the summer months, and it serves as a backup for the boiler in the wintertime. We applied for and received two government grants of $64,500 to cover most of our A/C units for the church and some security upgrades. At the same time, we had the resources to also install Air Conditioning in the Parish Hall, totalling $74,297.80. Our Hall attendees are grateful, especially our youth.
Our Parish finances are slowly improving due to the lease of the school building. Without this revenue, we would be operating at a deficit.
Unfortunately, the Offertory has decreased by approximately 7% since 2023. If possible, kindly consider increasing your donation.
Our Building Fund has increased by over 100% due to some Estate donations. This fund has immensely helped cover our major renovation and the maintenance of our existing aging buildings. As we go forward, this fund will help us meet the needs of renovating and refreshing our Parish. Thank you for keeping us in your Will and your continued generosity.
I also wish to thank all who have signed up for the Pre-Authorized Giving program. The P.A.G. program helps the Parish to better budget for the future and helps keep our cash flow more consistent.
Extensive time and effort given by our hard-working volunteers in the past year have kept our maintenance expenses to a minimum. I thank you for your care of the ‘temple of the Lord’ and its grounds.
We still have many challenges ahead of us here at St. Gregory’s, but with your continued support and our Building Fund and P.A.G. program in place, we are moving in the right direction.
May God help us to grow in communion with Him personally, and as a thriving Parish community.
