Annual Parish Financial Report 2023

Dear Parishioners and Friends,
I present to you our financial report for the past year of 2023.
Thank you for your generous financial support and sharing gifts of time and talent.
Due to all your combined efforts and generosity, we have a financial statement with a profit for 2023. A
wonderful success!
This has been a year of many accomplishments. We did a major renovation (brick wall repair to the school
building) for a cost of $145,340.21. We applied and received two government grants of $64,500 to cover our
A/C units for the church and some security upgrades. These items will be purchased God-willing in 2024.
Our Parish finances are slowly improving due to the lease of the school building. Without this revenue, we
would be operating at a deficit.
Unfortunately, our Offertory has decreased by approximately 1% from 2022.
On a positive note, our Building Fund has increased by 22%. This fund has immensely helped cover our major
renovation, and also the maintenance of our existing aging buildings. This fund will help us meet the needs of
renovating and improving our Parish property as we go forward. Thank you for your continued generosity.
I also wish to thank everyone who has signed up for the Pre-Authorized Giving program. The P.A.G. program
helps the Parish better budget for the future and helps keep our cash flow more consistent.
The extensive time and effort given by our hard-working volunteers in the past year has kept our maintenance
expenses to a minimum. I thank you for your care of the 'house and temple of the Lord' (Ps 23:6).
Our 130-year-old church, as an elderly parent, needs lots of gentle care. If you think that you could help with
your skills and God's gifts, let us know.
We have many challenges ahead of us here at St. Gregory’s, but with your continued support and our Building
Fund and P.A.G. program in place, we are moving in the right direction.
